The crocodile tour is an adventure along the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica. This tour takes to the Tárcoles River aboard a safe and trustworthy boat. The Río Grande of Tárcoles is one of four rivers that empty into the Pacific Ocean's Gulf of Nicoya. The river offers visitors the opportunity to observe American crocodiles up to four meters (13 feet) long. You'll also spot a wide variety of bird species, as well as other animals like sloths, basilisk lizards, monkeys and more.
The tour is specifically designed for family enjoyment, as well as for large groups. A bilingual guide will take you down the river, while offering educational information about the various species you find. You'll even be able to take close-up photos and have a bit of personal interaction with the tour's main attraction: crocodiles.
Then look back on your visit with your mind’s eye. Ask yourself; “Which elements of my adventure could I remove and still have and the greatest adventure of all?” For when you can leap to the heart of the heart and the soul of the soul you will have the meaning of adventure. Ask yourself, “Could I have a great adven-ture without the sand, the sun, the sweaty sometimes breathless hike, the now, the laugh that burst out of my belly, the shopping, the twinkling waterfalls, the caw of the Scarlet Macaw, the search for white faced capuchins, the wonderment of the sunset, the eyes of the crocodiles, the invitation of the white sand beach, the breeze in the trees, the shimmer of the Tarcoles river, the scent of earth in the air, the morning coffee, the evening bath, or the love of my companion?
